SMART Protect

Keep your leased car in showroom condition.

Repairs to minor cosmetic damage — small dents, light scratches, minor scuffs and chips to your car's body panels — caused by accidental everyday motoring. Mobile technicians come to you at home or work. Where a mobile repair isn't possible, the policy contributes up to £250 (inc. VAT) towards a bodyshop repair.

Good to know: Excludes wheels, glass, lamps, specialist/bespoke paint finishes, panel replacement, pre-existing damage, and any damage that isn't “minor”. See full terms.

Covers all five tyres including the spare, plus up to £50 (inc. VAT) towards each puncture repair. Tyre pressure monitoring systems included. Frequently asked questions

Do I have to take these products to lease a car?

No. SMART, Alloy Wheel and Tyre cover are optional add-ons. They're designed to help you avoid end-of-lease damage charges, but they're never required to take out a lease.

How does the 24-month plan work?

You pay the same total as the equivalent 36-month policy — upfront or over 12 months at 0%. You're covered for 24 months, and at the end we reimburse you the equivalent of 12 months' premium, less a one-off £35 administration fee. The exact reimbursement for each option is shown in the pricing tables above.

What does “interest-free over 12 months” mean?

It's a payment schedule: the total RRP is split into 12 equal monthly instalments at 0% APR. There's no fee or interest compared with paying the full amount upfront. The length of cover (24, 36 or 48 months) is separate from the 12-month payment plan.

Can I combine more than one product?

Yes. You can take any combination of SMART, Alloy Wheel and Tyre cover, and each can be paid monthly at 0% interest.

How do I make a claim?

All claims are handled through the AutoProtect app (search “AutoProtect Claims” on iOS or Android) or online at apapp.co.uk. Report the damage, upload photos, and you'll usually get a decision within minutes.

Are these warranties?
